Shine Beauty shines at the Excellence in Business Awards (November 2007)Shine Beauty, has been announced as the winner of the 2007 Sunshine Coast Excellence in Business Award (Lifestyle and Wellbeing category).
The first Shine salon was originally established in 1999 at Australia Fair on the Gold Coast, today this Australia Fair business is still thriving and the salon has been expanded to four locations. Shine has progressively developed over the past 9 years and today has a strong reputation in the beauty sector in South East Queensland. "When we opened our first Shine salon at Australia Fair Shopping Centre, on the Gold Coast in 1999 our initial goals were to keep the doors open and Shine a little light on the world, now in 2007 our Shine salons target sales of over $45,000, per week. We feel we are very fortunate to be in business in South East Queensland, it is Australia's premier growth corridor, we have four up market beauty salons, located in the three key regions of the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane" says Tania. Tania Turner has 15 years of beauty therapy and business experience and Joel has 20 years of marketing and business experience, together they have an impressive blend of beauty, marketing and business expertise which enhances the Shine Beauty businesses and will continue to contribute to the success of Shine. Mr. Turner states "The beauty industry, truly is a beautiful industry, it brings so much pleasure to customers and staff a like. For me beauty is an outstanding growth industry, each year more and more people sample beauty services for the first time and/or choose to spend money on beauty services as a permanent part of their personal grooming. As the beauty industry becomes less niche and more main stream Shine plans to be well positioned in the centre of this fast growing sector."
Shine Beauty was announced as WINNER of the Sunshine Coast ‘Excellence in Business Award' at a prestigious awards night held at Twin Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast this month. "With well over 400 Sunshine Coast businesses registered for these prestigious Sunshine Coast awards, we were very proud to take out the top award in our category of Lifestyle and Wellbeing. We are very fortunate to have such fabulous staff and we share this award with each member of our dedicated team. The Sunshine Coast Excellence in Business award is now our most coveted and prestigious win for Shine." states Tania. The owners of Shine Beauty are Tania and Joel Turner. Their family business Shine Beauty employs over 30 staff throughout South East Queensland. They have four well established beauty salons at Sunshine Plaza Maroochydore, Australia Fair Gold Coast, Chermside Brisbane and The Myer Centre Brisbane. "We are so thrilled to have won the Excellence Award" says Joel Turner and offers "Tania is truly amazing. She does an amazing job of taking care of our three children and also managing the Shine businesses with her senior team!"
This is not the first Sunshine Coast Award that Shine Beauty has won. In 2002, the Shine Beauty, Sunshine Plaza salon in Maroochydore was awarded ‘Retailer of the Year 2002' by Sunshine Plaza Shopping Centre, taking out the top prize and beating over 250 stores and dozens of large national businesses to the retail award.
